N12 GILL Open meeting/TVSC 125th Anniversary
The weekend will consist of four races for the GILL meeting (three results to qualify), plus a pursuit race and an invitation vintage race on Saturday afternoon. The racing will run to the TVSC sailing instructions under the watchful eye of Race Officer John Tilley, aided and abetted by Ken Goddard - WE WOULD APPRECIATE VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH THE RACING, MEET AND GREET ETC. Kevan Bloor has kindly agreed to independently scrutinize the ceding for the flights for both days and the timed pursuit race on the Saturday. Rescue facilities will under the control of Roger Briton MORE HELPERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Saturday
14:30 First GILL race – this will be in two or three flights.
16:30 Pursuit race plus Invitation vintage race – PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY FORMER/ RETIRED /ELDERLY N12 SAILORS WHO MIGHT LIKE TO SAIL A VINTAGE BOAT AGAIN; WE HOPE TO HAVE FOUR OR FIVE AVAILABLE.
20:00 Dinner – optional fancy dress "What you were wearing 75 or 125 years ago" £12 Numbers are restricted to 75 so please book early.
Sunday
10:30am Second GILL race
Third GILL race – back to back
Fourth GILL race – after lunch
Prizes – will be given for the overall meeting (including DB, AC and vintage) plus the pursuit and invitation races.
